Meet our head coach

Mat's his name—and his motto is that qualifications are important, but what sets a good coach apart is one who can truly motivate kids to engage and make sport something they genuinely enjoy.

Qualifications

  • 20+ years' experience in sports coaching in the across the UK, USA & Australia

  • BSc in Sports Science & Coaching

  • Pediatric First Aid & Level 3 Safeguarding certified

  • Enhanced DBS

  • Experience with students of all needs, strong behaviour management experience

Unique Experience

  • 4x World Karate Champion for England

  • 3x European Karate Champion for England

  • British Karate National Champion

  • Former Head of Martial Arts at Camp Walden, New York

  • Owner of United Atlantic Karate, a Midlands-based karate association
